Welcome to the Thornton Public Library!

Located at 412 Main Street, the Thornton Public Library is your community resource for reading, learning, and more. We'd love to have you stop in!

Hours Monday – Friday: 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Saturday: 9:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Library Staff & Board The library is led by Director Sibyl Jorgensen and supported by a dedicated Board of Trustees. Current board members include President Pam Muhlenbruch, Secretary Julie Bell, and member Jane McLaughlin.

Adult Fitness Center We're proud to offer a FREE fitness center located in the south half of our basement, available to the public during regular library hours. The facility features an elliptical machine, two treadmills, a recumbent bike, and free weights. Need access outside of library hours? A key is available to borrow from City Hall — simply return it when you're finished.

Sewing Classes We are currently offering beginner sewing classes on Friday afternoons (2:00 – 6:00 p.m.) and Saturday mornings. For details or to sign up, please give us a call.

Summer Reading Program Each summer, the library hosts a Summer Reading Program for children during school vacation. Led by local educator Deb Helm, the program runs four to five weeks with twice-weekly meetings. It's a wonderful way to keep kids engaged and reading all summer long!

This is the West side picture of the library, and is the main entrance. It's also showing the book return slot, and the signage for the hours for the library.
